✅ MCA Update: DIR-3 KYC Compliance Simplified

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has introduced a major relief for directors by revising the DIR-3 KYC filing system.

What’s changed?

DIR-3 KYC is now required once every 3 financial years, instead of every year.

Key points to note (effective 31 March 2026):

Ø DIR-3 KYC filing – once in 3 years

Ø Due date – 30 June of the applicable year

Ø Filing mode – DIR-3 KYC Web only

Ø Any change in mobile, email, or address must be updated within 30 days

Timeline clarity:

✔ FY 2024-25 KYC already filed → Next due on 30 June 2028

✔ New DIN in FY 2025-26 → First KYC due around 30 June 2029

⚠️ Non-compliance may still lead to DIN deactivation and applicable late fees.

This amendment significantly reduces recurring compliance for directors.
